“Commit your works to the LORD, And your thoughts will be established.” – Proverbs 16:3
Life is full of activity, and when your heart is truly seeking direction, you want to think straight, as we often say, to be on course and live the life God has for you.
The Bible says it begins by committing your works to the LORD. When we give Him everything, allowing God to take every aspect of our life under His control, we allow God to move within our thought life. After all, it’s our thought life that we end up following. How many times have we all said? I think so? I think this is right? I think I’m on the right track?
With that in mind, think about how important and necessary it is for our thoughts to be established by God. After all, we all want to be on track with God. And of course please do not miss the fact that this verse is a promise from God. As we commit our work to Him daily, He promises to establish our thoughts that we may follow His lead.
Prayer:
For your glory and by your leading, Lord, please establish our thought life. As we commit our schedules, activities and duties to you we trust as you promise that by your grace and out of love you will establish our thought life that we may follow your direction Holy Spirit. Amen
