Are you asking God to heal you? You may be struggling with illness, pain, or a disability. Maybe you’re asking an even bigger question. Which is, does God still heal? In this powerful Bible teaching we’ll explore the authority, and power of Jesus.
At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Jesus all who were sick and those who were demon-possessed. And the whole city was gathered together at the door. Then Jesus healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.
– Mark Chapter One verses Twenty-nine through Thirty-nine:
Praying for healing? I do not wish to come across as uncaring or even worse, unloving. However, as we seek God to move in our lives in a particular way we must realize that God is both able and Sovereign. When it all comes down to it, we must trust God to do what is best for our individual lives.
We ask for healing, believing nothing is impossible for God. We’ll trust in His faithfulness and rest in His love.
The bigger question is what if God decides not to deliver a healing? Will we trust and rest in His faithfulness? As we look at our passage we see that Jesus healed many. We can see in other passages where Jesus healed yet not all were healed. And we may never know the reason as long as we are on this earth.
Just as Jesus has authority over the unclean spirit in our passage. Jesus have full authority over sickness and decease. Walking in faith is believing that Jesus may chose to heal or He may chose not to heal either way He knows what is best and we shall rest in that truth.
